Kieran was amazing! He was so patient and helpful. This introduction to using a sewing machine was just what I needed to give me the confidence to set up my own machine and get started.

The teacher, Kieran was frie, patience, knowledgeable, approachable and of course helpful. The place was readily arranged to start the session on time. Staff were helpful and polite. Some of the materials were provided Eg. Thread - Sewing 
Kieren is an excellent teacher, I am grateful that he managed to sort out and train me to use the very old sewing machine that I have got.


Kieron was excellent and he talked me and my daughter through the set up our machine and pointed out where we had been going wrong. My Daughter practised sewing on some fun practise sheets. We came away with lots more confidence and fun ideas to try.

Teacher was great, really knowledgeable. He gave me bits to practise with at home, too!

I attended a 1-1 sewing session with Kieran on 17th March.
It was fantastic!
Kieran showed me how to use my new machine including all the bits that came with it.
He explained how to use different stitches and what they would be used for and gave me lots of tips and tricks which I wouldn't have known otherwise.

Kieran is clearly very knowledgeable and was a brilliant teacher. He answered all my questions and explained things in a way that made sense. Having face to face sessions at the store is an excellent way to help people learn.
We covered everything I needed to know to get me started and I really enjoyed learning from him.
I will definitely book another session when I've got the basics sorted to help me move on to the next stage with my sewing.
I've already recommended the sessions to my friends and will continue to do so.

I had a One-to-one Sewing Workshop with Kieran. I was just about to buy my first sewing machine and wanted a walk-through / refresher. I also had some specific sewing project questions that I wanted to go over. Kieran was really knowledgable, patient and our session was at a good pace. He was really good with keeping me on track, providing guidance and suggestions to help make my sewing project as straightforward (and manageable!) as possible. I left the session feeling energised and confident. Would have no hesitations with recommending one of Kieran’s workshops to friends (and others).

This lesson was for my 9 year old daughter. It gave her the knowledge and confidence to start using her machine. The teacher was fantastic and aimed it just at her level (and mine… as I have no sewing knowledge!) He gave her really good tips on how to get started. I will definitely book her another lesson once she’s up and running.

I had a 1-1 workshop with Kieron on how to use a Cricut machine.
I have watched YouTube tutorials many times but it wasn’t sinking in and I felt that I needed somebody to show me and answer all of my questions.
Kieron is a fantastic teacher, he is very calm and friendly and answered all of my questions. It felt like I was talking to a friend rather than a teacher which put me at ease and I was able take in the information. I came home and was able to make my first project after the workshop.

The class was the perfect size and the teacher Kieran was so patient and gentle and brilliant at explaining things to an absolute novice. I’d tried YouTube videos but got nowhere so having a person guide me worked perfectly. By the end of the session I had learnt to cast on, knit, purl, change colour and cast off.

I'm a total sewing beginner and Kieran has explained and demonstrated everything I need to know about my sewing machine, how it works what setting to use for which task, literally loads of useful information. I'm so pleased I booked the course and the whole hour was filled to the very last minute.

Kieran was a fantastic and friendly teacher. He understood the stage I was at in my learning and take it all from there easily. He was able to answer everything I had to ask clearly, with frequent demonstrations to help visualise as much of it as possible within the timeframe. He showed me some really useful tips and tools to enhance my knitting and my understanding of the craft. It was overall incredibly informative and helped give me more confidence in the way I approach my knits.

Kieran was so knowledgeable about the equipment. I am considering purchasing a Glowforge and wanted to see how much I might use it. I specifically want to make dolls house furniture and Kieran answered all of my questions perfectly. I managed a practice cut and a practice laser design. Now I need to do the sums to see about purchasing this fantastic machine. Workshop great value for money enhanced by such a pleasant and knowledgeable person

Kieran was just brilliant. He was enthusiastic and communicated a lot of information about the products clearly and effectively. Excellent class. Kieran is extremely knowledgeable about all sewing machine functions and passionate about all crafting. I havent used a machine for many years but Kieran was able to explain the basics to me in a way that I could understand and I have come away with enough confidence to be able to put that learning into practice.

A great bespoke lesson by Kieran. He was very knowledge, converted so much for me in a whistle stop beginners guide to using my machine and reading patterns. He was such a brilliant teacher, making things understandable and answering any questions I had.

Super knowledge showed me some really handy tips for a newcomer to cricut, gave examples of the things I was finding hard to navigate, he was patient and explained with examples. It's a long time since I used a sewing machine (more than 30 years) My husband got me the Hobbcraft 19s. Kieran was really patient and started with the basics - from winding a bobbin - putting it in plus threading machine. He showed me the full selection of stitches. Then he let me do it all myself. My daughter had a great time at her slime making party for her 8th birthday. The host Kieran was great! He was very kind and patient with the girls given this is quite a messy difficult activity. I would suggest you extend the time to 1 hour for this as it was inevitable it would go overtime. And also provide some plastic pots rather that paper cups to mix the slime in. Luckily I brought my own!

I had no clue where to start with my sewing machine but Kieran ran through everything really clearly and helped me understand, he answered any questions I had and was able to tell me some projects I can start with. Would recommend

It was for my 9 yo daughter, so 1 hour was enough for her attntion span. She got to ;earn the loading, basic functions andstitches and helped making a pillow case with her fabric so she was quite pleased. I booked her this session becasue she is interested in woring with a sewing machine but we don't have one so it's a good way to "study" the situation and we were given good advice on the machine for beginners.

Kieran has done two 1-to-1 sewing lessons with my 10-year-old daughter, which were a gift from her grandma after she received a sewing machine from Hobbycraft for Christmas.
Kieran was so lovely, patient, and very informative (I even learned a few things myself!). After just one lesson, my daughter was able to set up her machine confidently and made a scrunchie. In the second lesson, he helped her start her own embroidered cushion.
I would highly recommend Kieran to anyone looking for sewing help or lessons. Thankyou.

The one to one lessons have saved me so much time in my learning curve and helped me to avoid laborious time wasting mistakes. My teacher Kieran at Stockport is a very knowledgeable and experienced teacher and has a myriad of sewing tips to pass on due to his extensive sewing experience. The class is tailored towards what you want to learn. However, if you’re a newbie like I was, it’s very advisable to spend your first lesson getting to know your way around a sewing machine. My lessons have been invaluable in giving me the confidence to achieve my sewing goals. All in all it’s been a fabulous learning experience



I needed help with my new sewing machine, to make sure I was setting everything up correctly. Kieran was really good, very patient and didn’t make me feel that any of my questions were stupid. He also helped me with using the various features (buttonholes etc). I feel more confident about using my sewing machine now.

I learnt a lot more than I thought I would during this class. The teacher was clear with his explanations and really helpful. I've booked for a second class to learn more about knitting. I'd definitely recommend people attend/book a session.
